I mostly agree with CB,
Except my contract expired at the end of Feb 2013,
So that's 17 months
Whoo, now that my brains tired, need that upcoming vacation more than ever, looking forward to the (almost) 3 weeks off in my not too distant future

The tone of of pcs letter is the same the company has used since we first started organizing a union. The father guiding his lost and son. Next time I need some fatherly advice I'll ask for it, thanks PC, your opinion means everything to me

I just read the MOU between American's APA, USAirway's USAPA, and the corporations to be merged. Pretty amazing to see where their pay and retirement (from two companies that have been through serious bankruptcies) will be in the next few years... Among other things, by 2018 WB captains will be at $310/hour with an 85 hour monthly guarantee, increased retirement options, and $1.6B in increased pay and retirement to the USAirways pilots alone during the next 6 years.
CONTRACT NOW. IT'S TIME.

If they gave a pay raise, then we'd all be ale to go out and buy kilts. Can't happen, they want the extra cred of being able to flaunt our uniform rules. Ya just can't let the commoners wear the uniform so favored by the uniform police.

Ladies & Gentlemen:
Years ago during my undergraduate studies and post graduate work, a couple accounting professors (yeh – more than one), made the comment that “figures lie, and liars figure”. One also started a 400 level advanced accounting class by writing FAIR on the chalk board. He turned and asked … “can anybody here tell me what ‘FAIR’ is”. Of course there were a lot of ideas, but the only answer that matters is what the IRS understands. What we “NEGOTIATE” is what’s “FAIR”.
I did something I had intended to NOT do, and that’s open and read the PC missive on negotiations. So … I’ll put a spin on HIS numbers that might seem a bit interesting, depending on the ‘spin’ you believe. The four sections he addresses are 4 (Min Guarantee) – which explains how we’re paid for make-up, DRF, RSV, Trip Guarantee, etc. Section 11 (training), which HE has stated in the past doesn’t cost anything. Section 12 (Hours of Service) – how trips are built, flights back into domicile, fatigue, standbys, etc. Finally Section 28 (Retirement) – which has an ‘A’ plan that hasn’t been updated since our first CBA, and happens to be $75,000 behind the IRS 415 defined benefit annual payment limitation.
[i]Effective Jan. 1, 2013, the limitation on the annual benefit under a defined benefit plan under Section 415(b)(1)(A) is increased from $200,000 to $205,000. For a participant who separated from service before Jan. 1, 2013, the limitation for defined benefit plans under Section 415(b)(1)(B) is computed by multiplying the participant's compensation limitation, as adjusted through 2012, by 1.0170.[i]
PC came up with FIRST YEAR COST of $721,000,000 (over and above the cost of our current CBA). Divide that between 4,500 crew members and you’ll see about a $160,000 annual benefit enhancement (pay, retirement, scheduling, QOL stuff …). Eliminating the free training and it’s still around $150,000 in enhancements. I’m PROUD that our NC would bring out the big guns and go for it. That’s exactly what the Company did with PBS and health care. The significance of his BIG number is to be OVERWHELMING. It’s to show how unreasonable [we] are. WOW - $721,000,000. The fact is, if you do the math, (and I’m not a math major), you come up with 0.024 of the gross profit of this $30 BILLION dollar corporation. Would it be FAIR for me to ask for 2 cents on the dollar? Remember the figures and liars thing.
FOLKS – Ladies and Gentlemen – KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL!!! Stay FOCUSED. Do your own math. Do your own reading. Do your own research. PC is a Company minion. He’s PAID very well to take advantage of us. He’s the one getting the bonuses. When was the last time anybody got a BZ and a free dinner? PC puts the fun in “dysfunctional”.
Very Respectfully,
Nakazawa

No, you are not.
From his recent post on PFC;
"Yes, it's true. As our Airbus landed in Oshkosh for the annual fly-in a black helicopter was observed overhead. This was not a QA observation; a TAA was not at the controls and we are not sure what data was collected or where it was archived, but everyone there was observed to be having a good time."
He thinks he's being funny, but the truth is he is mocking us. His typical condescending approach to his employees concerns.
