You got a 50/50 shot to pick the correct place to blow them without an indication - pick one, then get a nice surprise when the other bin eventually lights up with the fire.

Swift Air - The truth
Varies by how aggressive you are some don’t like to fly other fly a lot.
can be anywhere from 60-80hrs a month on your regular MIA schedule.
We have FOs breaking 8-10K a month. Making more than me as a CA. But you have to be well versed and know to pick and choose open time and be on the horn with scheduling. Depends on what’s out there system wide and how much you want to work and what you can get out of scheduling above 150%.
The pay raise comes when it comes, in the spring we were told August, now we’re hearing October. So I don’t know. They need to push it through the parent company because otherwise it’s hurting recruitment at these RJ rates. Our last pay raise was 2 years ago. Believe me as soon as I hear something I’m out making announcements.

So i read all 76 pages of this post, it doesn't seem to be a bad place to work for.
People are complaining all the time about anything, there is better and worst.
As mexipilot84 said here, if you guys don't like your company, just go work somewhere else, there is right now 20 airlines hiring if you are a good guy with some 73 time.

You might have read all 76 pages, but from your comments, I don't think you understand. You quoted Mexi, but did you read where he stated that Swift has recruiting problems, not only that, but Retention problems. There are a core group of people that remain at Swift for a multitude of reasons. Great people. These are the people that are trying to make this place a better place to work. Ask any of the recruiters how many people have come and gone in the last 3 months. Some, if not most, of them agreed with your summation. I came, did not like what I saw, so I decided to just take the Type, and leave.
I would only mention that those guys in Miami do put up with a lot. I was there for a week in the middle of the summer. It was horrible. Broke airplanes, left and right. People refusing to fly airplanes with numerous DMI's and in bad weather. Airplanes without APU's, people fainting from the heat, or flying unpressurized flights because both packs are on DMI. I could not wait to get out of there, and I avoid it at all cost.
So, those of us that have made the conscious decision to stay here, are the core group of people trying to make this place a better place to work. Please allow me to vent my frustration, and perhaps see if anyone else share my experience with the company. Maybe someone from the new owners will get wind of this site, and read some of it. And perhaps DO SOMETHING....

Yes there are DMI to make it legal for dispatch but is it safe? Some captains take it regardless, me I will not absolutely will not fly an airplane anywhere with out both packs operating. The planes are old and need a lot and a lot of TLC which they get but not to the standard it really needs to be at, is that a swift problem or Miami tech problem? Only the top Executives know the answer to that or MX personnel. So if it’s not safe or blistering hot don’t do it pack your things and leave if it’s safe and legal do it. I haven’t been forced to do anything that’s illegal by anyone ever. I sure hope your not the person who couldn’t land the airplane and quit.

Be on their “good boy” list after signing duty extensions all month long.
That’s what you mean right?
RIGHT?!

We have some 300’s, mother company is a big MRO / capital investment firm. Money is not an issue getting enough planes to have spares and put down airplanes for very detailed mx is the key in my opinion
