Swift Air - The truth
#661
A few weeks ago, a Cuban national stowaway was found in the cargo hold of a Swift AIR flight coming from Havana. Up until this date, the Swift 119's have NOT sent out any information about what happened, and what the company is doing to prevent it from happening again.
NO, NO. NOT COMMON SENSE AT ALL.
NO, NO. NOT COMMON SENSE AT ALL.
The Cubans make us check the compartments before departure now. So the Cubans made that solution immediately. Can’t have anyone abandoning the regime!

Do Swift Air Pilots now take ORDERS from the Cuban Government. I am sure the company had to make a report to TSA on how this happened, and what SWIFT AIR is doing to prevent it from happening again. Unfortunately, SWIFT AIR does not find it necessary to tell their Crew members, yes, F/A's included, what can be done to prevent it from happening again.
Apparently this Cuban national will get Political Asylum, and will be allowed to stay. So guess what, his success will have a the encouraging effect, and it will definitely happen again.

Jeff90 ftw...you're the type Swift desperately needs. If anyone wants to know how completion is accomplished. Look no further.
And just to settle the matter. Swift was an unknown until I started posting. Since then we’ve seen more employees and interviewees commenting on the place. I came to Swift for the short upgrade and lack of reserve scheduling. Im staying because Cape Air hasnt given me a class date yet and I dont want to completely starve. Or have a gap in employment history during this “shortage”. Its a trashbag operation hands down. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.
Guys like Jeff90 talk a big game on here but yield to pressure to perform when push comes to shove on the plane. Self righteous know it alls that explain away everything from regulation to PRINCIPLED FLIGHT DYNAMICS THAT CANNOT BE MANIPULATED BY ANY FORCE IN OUR ATMOSPHERE. How else do you think weve had such blatantly negligent incidents?

With what you said on here would I be willing to give a person that looks so negative as a FO a captain slot?
You should think before you speak maybe you would have upgraded by now.
Let ‘jeff’ aka ‘el jeffe’ have his shi++y airline job. In the mmeantime just leave these incident briefs in seat cushions, tray tables,etc...
When you have a delay and passengers are upset freely offer managements personal phone numbers.

A few pages back He told us along with another poster that they were TOLD when to expect upgrades. The time came and went evidently.
But you are “just a pilot” right? 🤔
Why would anyone want to work here?

Well every country we go to has their process and this is Cuba’s new process, so we have no choice but to comply and check the compartments before push. I don’t understand what the big deal is, in the end it complies with the security check form. FO didn’t find any stow aways, bombs, hazmat etc. Ok let’s go. Just takes an extra 3 mins.

My man...enzel voice:
Ive seen this grammar before...
“Unless it is a fire indication” ..... uhhhh what would you call the smell of smoke, or a fire detector warning, or smoke detection indication? Do smoke detectors detect fire or the byproduct of a fire?
Empty bin= erroneous-precautionary landing should be made
Full/occupied bin= possible fire-land asap
These are clear cut industry standard decisions.
Why would someone divert, but not blow bottles?
Why would someone depart after less than 2 hours if they had blown the bottles and not had protection for a now full (move evrything out the suspect into the remaining) bin?
But yeah, I know, you woulda stayed in the air and done the real pilot thing yadda yadda yadda-just like they did at _____ (insert the name of crummy operation you gained most of your ‘airline’ experience at).
= We cannot operate without fly away kits on those trips. And yes, youre right, we can operate without the bins being occupied but if the bottle was blown there is no longer any protection for the other bin. If the bottle wasnt blown, you just gambled with the lives of unsuspecting travelling public and coworkers. Theres clear standards in aviation that our most shining example of pilot wont comprehend.
I use these examples because Swift burries its failures without clarifying matters for crews as MNPS and others have mentioned. Whenever an EPIC failure occurs, no one on the frontline will hear about it. When a contractor or vendor fails-victim logic prevails.
For those of you wanting jobs here, DM Jeff90.
