Mr. Impact,
Portion of an email that was sent to me from 1224;
"Now to address your second questions. First let me remind you that it is a violation of the Local 1224 Bylaws and the IBT Constitution to share any internal union information or proceedings, either directly or indirectly, with anyone who is not a member in good standing of the IBT. The Local and the IBT take this very seriously." As Bugs Bunny would say "I'd be very very careful if I wuz u." Makes ya go hmmmmmmm don't it.
As far as reading a LM-2 YHGTBSM you do not know me or my back ground what I do know is that i am sure having fun on this site.
To who ever is left reading this insane banter here are the facts, as reported by 1224 (this is not a breach of Constitution or bylaws as this is public information) Just copy and paste: http://kcerds.dol-esa.gov/query/orgReport.do
Mr. Impact I will be happy to tell you who i am as I have nothing to hide, how about you my 1224 brother? The funny thing is that you have NO idea my stance on any issue other than some people are soooooo easy to spool up by simply asking questions.

Management doesn't operate in fear and never will. They have a weapon that they could exercise at any time and solve any threat from the union. The AACS model. They know it, people who have led this pilot group for the past 15 years know it. You need a leader who understands that and still can find ways to sit down and rationally find solutions; understanding that sometime you get what you want, sometime they do...and sometimes you split the difference.
You also need someone who isn't afraid to look at the pilot group and when necessary; tell them that want the want isn't realistic...and why. Never a nice job, but it's better to hear the truth than have someone feed you a fantasy that comes crashing down.
In the end, it's about integrity over excuses and truth over all. It's about having the integrity to lay open the mistakes of your past and how you dealt with them that shows the strength and integrity that the company respects. It's that integrity that forms the foundation of trust that will lead to a relationship that will do the best for all.
So far, only one such person has laid their sole bare. All the snarky comments aside from those who don't know him, but like to come up with cheap sound bites about his previous life; he's respected as an honest broker and is respected by management.
Whether the pilot group is smart enough to realize that or listen to a Pied Piper will determine whether management agrees to open early and get a good CBA done, or if they merely follow the proscribed rules and it takes years past the amendable date.

Your vote should be based on who has the ability and the knowledge base to deal with the company. Despite what anyone thinks, the way things get done is not by using a hammer or threat; but by compromise and finding middle ground. That may not be popular or macho, but it's reality. Nothing in the universe works worth a darn on the extremes.

Nicely written.

Length of Contract Negotiations:
I don't think that this new contract will drag on. If something much better is not ratified relatively quickly, then many pilots will leave, and the company will discover that replacing the departing with new pilots will become very, very difficult.
In this scenario, the lack of pilots will negatively affect earnings and growth so much so that the company will come to an agreement relatively quickly.
I hope that our retention and recruiting situation does not negatively affect the company more than it already has.

What I said was:
Not them...just you. Guess you missed that in the first line.[/QUOTE]
Whew! Just me. Thank goodness. At least you don't take this stuff personal. Good luck campaigning and spreading rumors. It's beer time for this guy! Hopefully you can enjoy one soon as well.

I'm not certain this is a genuine question or just an inroad for retaliation against who I do support. So I'm inclined not to answer since I'm so loved here for outing the "wolf in sheep's clothing". I do have my pluses and minuses for the two remaining slates though. The third supposedly dropped out.
As you said about me being a new poster earlier on, BTW I actually am as it turns out. It appears I never posted here according to my password manager. Only lurked. Guess I confused it with 350 or pprune. Judging from all the back and forth, it might as well have been all three.
