They currently have about 26 aircraft and are gettting 40 145's. Anyone coming in now will have an opportunity to fly the 145 if they choose to switch over. Also, I'm sure some of the Dash guys will stay on the Dash and not go to the 145.

I know this is a rookie statement, but I'm just glad to be here. Can't wait to start ground and get in the air. I'll fly the Dash 8 as long as I can. If something better happens someday, that's fine, but I'm good with what I have coming. Wish I had more info up front on things - seems at least an HR book would be good. I know Ground followed by Sim followed by IOE - but timing is a guess. Buddy of mine waited a lot - months between phases. No worries - it's all new to me, but I'd love to know more and as of yet I'm still unplugged.

Fly the dash for a year then upgrade into the jet. It's a AWESOME airplane to fly and you can say you flew a turboprop! I really don't think it's worth sacrificing seniority numbers to wait for the jets to arrive. Right now we have 170 pilots. If you apply now you could be number 180-190. If you wait till the jets arrive you'll probably be closer to 250-275. If we flow 40ish pilots a year to United that will cost you another 2 years.
