CommutAir Rumors and Info

Are there weight issues on the E-145s with respect to taking 50 passengers and a jumpseater?
I ask because I've been denied the jumpseat for weight reasons and would like to know if that was situational or if I need to find alternate commuting options.

Apparently it's a company specific problem that is currently being worked on. We are still doing a paper weight and balance, so I'm guessing the problem will be resolved once the ACARS program is online. Not sure how long all this modernization is going to take.

In fact, priority for all others is the same across all UAL purchased seats...whether you work for that airline or not.
The jumpseat however is not owned by UAL and hence is per reciprocal agreement...your "own metal", then first come first served for any affiliat (including mainline) then other offline jumpseater first come first served.
Hope that helps

Boarding Priority
UA Mainline Metal: All regional partner employees, retirees and eligible pass riders will board before unaccompanied UA mainline Buddies and alliance airline pass riders. The boarding priority is SA5X
Operating Regional Partner:
UAX employees and their accompanied pass riders will board on all their own metal at the highest possible space available boarding priority, which is equal to UA mainline employees on a vacation pass. Boarding is by seniority within the vacation boarding priority. The boarding priority is SA0X.
Non-Operating Regional Partner:
UAX employees and their accompanied pass riders will board on other regional partners metal directly below mainline employees and retirees not traveling on a vacation pass. Boarding is by seniority within the leisure boarding priority. The boarding priority is SA2X.

Often misunderstood...United owns all the seats in the back so a United employee has a higher priority for any seat in the back.

Everyone has higher priority on their own airline. UA has the same priority on regional planes as the operator ONLY when they burn a vacation pass AND their hire date is older than the employee of the airline.
