Sorry to interrupt this lively dialog, but I am starting Indoc on May 1 and am interested in the experience of other recent hires. I've seen the posts from late 2016 hires, but what is the situation in the last couple of months? How much time between Indoc and start of ERJ Systems/SIM training? How many in the class? How many went to ERJ vs. Dash 8? How long is ERJ Systems/SIM training (CommutAir is saying 2 1/2 weeks total for both)? Thanks!

Actually 3.5 months sounds accurate. There hasn't been that much hiring in the last couple months, which should shrink the training bubble. Not to mention the added sim and instructors. Someone assigned the jet tomorrow would probably see the sim in June.

I started class Jan 3 and start sim May 4. It'll be a solid 5 months best case. Hope it's getting better. I'm hearing cases of guys getting skipped on GFS for more junior guys.

You were one of the last big jet classes to start training. The smaller classes starting in February and March are right behind you. So... If you start sim in May, the people right behind you are starting in May or June. That's only 3 months.

Maybe for new hires, and I certainly hope so! However, there are currently pilots who are taking six to seven months.
