Haha, sorry to jump on you!
So much misinformation out there. There's enough to gripe about here without having to fight incorrect information, too.

ALSO, the bottom CA on the jet also appears to be bypassing those that have been waiting for upgrade as well.

All the others didn’t bid, have the time or senority to hold CA during the last vacancy. Vacancy and displacements aren’t the same thing.

Most of the jet pilots I talk to at C5 don’t understand a displacement. They see Dash FO’s junior to them with the time to upgrade get awarded jet CA on these displacements and are furious thinking the company is bypasssing them and not honoring their seniority. They fail to grasp this isn’t a vacancy. A displacement allows you to go wherever your seniority can hold. Once the Dash pilots are trained, a vacancy will eventually be posted and then they can get their upgrade. Sorry not sorry you bid over to the jet and couldn’t hold CA all spring and summer when there were vacancies. This industry is timing and luck and unfortunately the jet FO’s with the time since the fall got it at a bad time.

I have never been able to hold a CA spot on the ERJ at my seniority. My bid for CA has been in since I arrived.
Somehow we now have someone junior to me that is now holding ERJ CA according to the domicile list. That is not how seniority works.
I am waiting to see if it is a typo or if the company and union are really allowing the transition guys to bypass seniority.
