CommutAir Rumors and Info
#4981
Got a few questions, any help would be great.
Can some one explain the commuter parking policy? Does it have a limit based on the parking in your base?
Would I have higher priority (over non Commutair) if non rev on company flights?
Did I read you still have flight cases, no EFB yet?
Rumors on what new base to support all the new jets and pilots. If I had to guess Albany (maint) or Cleveland (HQ)?
Thanks a bunch.

Non revving on company metal we are SA0...only thing that can trump that is a mainliner using a vacation pass, or positive space (deadhead).
Nobody really knows when we’ll get EFBs.
No talk of new base.

Not sure what the upper limit is but they reimburse my 55/month for parking

Maybe things changed...it’s been a while since I evaluated my parking options.
Edit: CBA does say paid up to the rate of your base. No idea what that is though...

Upgrade dropped to 6 months according to recruiting. The March hire is a friend and can verify he did get the call.

Just flew with a guy senior to that as well, but had FO first and CA second preference. Did not get call.

I don't know if needing the time is a requirement to get the call. The union has told pilots to put in CA preferences even if you don't have the time in order to not 'bypass upgrade' in order to keep the Dash CA pay rate for FO.
The company is putting a ton of emphasis on pay rates lately (CQFs bidding as FOs getting paid as FOs, the DH pay on top of min guarantee, etc) and they might start cracking down on pilots bypassing CA.
