I'm hoping it was the answer you were looking for?

Nah I didn't get it. Oh well. Probably going to choose another regional. But I think C5 is a great spot to be at.

Sorry to hear that. I think you may find persistence is the key however. The game will change again in less than a years time. 2016 is just the tip of the iceberg for the legacy hiring wave. Those in your shoes stand to benefit the most from it.

I interviewed with C5 on skype and got the offer same day. They set me up with UAL and I flew out Cleveland and interviewed a week later for the CPP, took the hogan online a few days prior to flying out. The interview itself was all HR, tell me about a time type questions. Heard 5 days after the CPP interview that I did not get accepted. I'm kind of on the fence, Commutair seems like a great company and they're growing fast over the next couple years. I have a non-flying aviation job that is very secure and pays well but I don't particularly enjoy it at all. Looking to fly again as it's what I want to really do. It'll be a huge pay cut to start and a lifestyle change but I miss flying, just hope it could lead to better opportunities down the road.

Seems like there's a decent amount of people not getting the UAL offer...

It may only be a HR interview but it was tough, very formal. United has nothing to lose from saying no. They have prob 10k+ apps on file. I'd prob get some help looking back on it. Might be worth it to call up centerline or something and get a them to comb through your app and prepped up on the HR stuff. Seems like this is the real deal of you can get the yes from UAL.

Really really curious to see how this effects C5. Seems like a pretty big gamble to go to there if you don't have the CPP with Delta and American pulling mostly from the wholly owned. Might end up being a bad thing for C5 of United doesn't end up saying yes to a majority.

That's kind of what I was thinking... If it gets out that UA is turning down the majority of applicants through the interview program, it may become counterproductive to recruiting.

If they gave everyone a flow, there would be too much entitlement. Even though the CommutAir interviewers do a stand-up job, United would want to do the hiring.

All they are looking for in the interview is:

1. Can you effectively communicate?
2. Are you a hard-working, honest individual?
3. Do you care about how you present yourself (dressed, attention to detail)?
4. How do you overcome obstacles and are you self-improving?
5. Are you a human and can I spend 4 days with you?
