From what I know, about 30% of pilots did not get by the hogan. Of the 70% that got through the hogan, 50% are making it through the face to face. The percentage of new hires getting accepted is higher, about 60%. Last I knew, new hires get to do face to face no matter how they do on the hogan.

The 145s are a signed contract. The airline will need 10 Capts or so per month starting mid summer. If you come on board now and are qualified and capable you probably would be in upgrade class in a month or two after finishing as a new hire. It is my understanding that the recruiters actually understate the rapidity of movement so as to not get expectations too high.
The limitation as I understand it has more to do with sim and availability of instructors/LCA's
There are a number (I have no figures) who have been accepted into the UAL program.
While decency is a rare commodity in the aviation/airline business this outfit in its current state exceeds all others I have worked for in a 40 year plus career. (with one possible exception). They can only relate what UAL tells them as to the program, which is most likely a learning curve for them as well. I feel it inappropriate to call C5 liars.

I think people are more worried about UAL deciding to park the 50s in a year or two and getting stuck in a dash

40, with options for 20 more. I doubt with the supposed 100, 50 seaters, by 2019 quote they will exercise this. That means between SkyWest, ExpressJet, and Trans States will shrink their 50 seat flying to 40 aircraft? It is possible, but not a plausible outcome.

Interview Potential
Are the details regarding the preferential interview with United more clear now?
Is there a time line (say 12 months or 1,000 hours) in which United will intentionally not hire a Commutair pilot (in an effort to minimize the turnover of the United Express operation)?
Thanks.

No, this is exactly why I said no. The CommutAir executives wont release the actual agreement with United. You have no idea how many they will actually take or how the details of the program actually work. You basically are putting your faith in a Press Release.
