Welcome! I assume Air Whiskey? We use the same pants, but you will have to change your stripes. You have $600 to spend as a new-hire with a monthly uniform allowance of $17.50 to pay it back within 24 months. Everyone is pretty chill here, you will enjoy it!

They will generally restripe you for free. And uniform is a free 600$ given. You just dont get the 17.50 uniform allowance until after the company pays off allowance. They charge 25$ and pay 25$ per paycheck( its a payroll thing) and if you use all 600$, 24 months later youll start accruing uniform allowance. Same crew outfitters personnel with bonnie tenner who comes to fit you.

6/13 were accepted into the CPP program after the round of interviews in Denver this past Saturday. It appears that United is being very selective, which they have every right to be since it's their program. On the flip side, since the pool of guys in the program isn't very big yet, you will be going to United sooner than you think if you meet the requirements. This also goes to show how serious you need to take this interview when preparing. One of the recruiters even made a comment at the start of the interview saying that they are looking for the "best of the best". I could be way off, but so far it looks like guys that are trainers or are involved in union activities have the upper hand, at least for the guys that are currently on property. Not sure how it looks for new hires.

As a new hire, can you put off the interview with United? And, if so, would there be any benefit in doing so? It seems to me a little time on the line and comfort with 121 operations may go a long way.

Also, I understand that if you don't make it through the first interview, you'll have a second chance somewhere down the line? Any one have any details as to this term?

The CPP interview is by choice. I would recommend waiting until you have some more time and stories to tell

I was talking to someone in management at commute air. I heard a majority of the guys doing the interview aren't getting the offer. I honestly think all these interview flows are a joke.

You know... If you're going to do the interview with United with this agreement, it would be advantageous to approach it very systemically. What I mean by that is paying for interview prep, sim eval ect... 9/10 successful candidates from the Military, Regionals ect... All prep for these "Legacy" interviews.
You can't just show up and interview like you would for a job at CommutAir.
