I appreciate the information sir.
I will be starting on march 4th as a CQF. I am pretty excited to see how things go. Hopefully there is no ill will against us new CQFS not that I expect it... So far everyone has been very nice. also wondering what this check will be after taxes lol.

No. They most likely will be CQFs for a month or two.
The company considers it the bottom 5% of the qualified captains. Until finishing IOE, they are not qualified.
The way the timing works between finishing IOE, designation of CQF's and determining eligible bidders, they may fly a month as CA before being designated as CQF and assigned right seat training.
With our staffing level right now though, it is doubtful that they will be used much as FO's, due to the shortage of captains.

Of my first two months as CQF almost half, maybe more, was as an FO; all this despite being told repeatedly we are “so short capts you’ll never do it”. Maybe this changes but I’d expect to fly both seats regularly as CQF. This isn’t a bad thing really, just want to keep the picture real.

Anything someone says that sounds good, believe 10% of it.
I’ve just stopped listening to anyone about anything here. Show up, work, get paid, go home.
I’ve seen this place at its worst, and it’s not that now, but it could get bad again real quick like two years ago the way we are hiring CAs again.

Currently theres a delay for OE. But that's because we had some time during the shut down where we couldnt get new LCA signed off. Most are finished / finishing now, so I would hope that there wont be much of a delay starting here soon.
