Waiting to see when new hires get info. If class dates are kept will be interesting to see how that plays out.

You obviously have no idea what our Delta birds are like....Whoever gets them, I mean good luck...those birds are vintage by 175 standards.

If they are smart they’d realize people are going to be leaving in a biblical level exodus. New hire seats will be no showed. They’ll need all they can get to keep flying.

If they are smart... but we’re talking about CP and holdings.

I read the letter again, specifically the second paragraph. Getting creative with an airline or “other parties”, creating career opportunities for everyone - leads me to think it’s not UAL, but something different.

Moxy is starting an airline and has airplane orders but no pilots. RT repeatedly says our value is our people. TSH still has firm orders for the MRJ as far as I know, and Mitsubishi just bought the CRJ production line or whatever from Bombardier. We have a flow program to F9 who, incidentally just passed a long term pilot contract without scope limits.
There is some combination of those elements that would lead to the end result described in the letter. Slowhawk, I hope you’re right.

That’s my WAG, it’s as good as any of the rest of them until they announce something.

Ima put the crack pipe down now, do like Snoop said - just chill, and wait for the next episode. Hang in there Compass homies!

Alaska asked SkyWest to defer those aircraft last year. After the VX Purchase..Alaska has said they have to much regional feed for its route structure..

Word to the wise from an old hand...

They have to operate their commitments, up until the last day. So they will hire as much and as late as necessary to staff known flying. Back in the day the Training Dept. usually found out about furloughs at the same time as the line pilots. Entire classes will be sent home mid-stream. Common for new hires to be furloughed during week one, or even day one. So if you're an applicant, a class date does not guarantee that all is good.

Can anyone collaborate on how many lines and reserve lines are at each base?
Or how many E175 in each base? (LAX,SEA,PHX)
