This is the only reason I've ever used flaps 4 on approach, for the exact same reason.

He means you don’t deploy them for landing by going 1, then 2, then 5,10-15-25-30-40.

Exactly. Even though I've also used all 9 available settings depending on the circumstances, we were taught that the normal flap sequence for landing is 1-5-15-30, and 40 if necessary. When you go F15, the yellow caution hook on the speed tape is set for F30 speed, skipping F25.

It's insane to me to have something on the plane we can't use.
This point was brought up to Jeremy before implementing this change. He said there is no warning, which is why crews were landing at F4. Personally I don't see how landing at F4 is any worse than landing at F5 when you're landing at SNA with FF numbers.

That’s false, no? You should get too low, flaps...

I wonder who will be the new CP when he returns to the line in a couple months

Speaking of the chairs, seems most of the time when I sit down they're either on the floor or so high I have to tilt my head just to sit. Who are these vertically challenged and endowed people?

Sooo.....
At compass you were allowed to use flaps 4 on approach and your landing callout was "Flaps 5(full), set Vapp, landing checklist?

If so, republic does not allow flaps 4 as an intermediate setting on approach as there are no approach warnings as it's strictly a takeoff setting.

And we recently adopted this stupid "Flaps X, Set Vapp, landing checklist". There has also been a few other things over the last year that we have changed that you guys were already using.
