A Hall For The Hopefuls

We are hiring. Ramping it up actually. Our classes are full until May. We are actually trying to add classes before then. We just don't want the month off training between ground school and sims like a lot of airlines are doing.

I'm not sure why I never got a call. App was fine, I had an internal req, interviewed with 3 others, got two offers, and have a class coming up. Compass was always my first but guess I wasn't theirs. Oh well, good luck to all the hopefulls.

Right now it seems like a lot of new hires are getting SEA out of the gate but with the movement were seeing you should be able to transfer to your base of choice before your on the line. As far as CA's go, when MSP closed I think a lot of guys went to SEA but in my opinion things have fanned out. Again with our movement your going to get a good mix of seniority at each base.

So I received an email about 3 weeks ago asking me to call the pilot recruiting number. I called, it went straight to voicemail, left my name and number. Nothing for a week, tried again, straight to voicemail, left my name and number again. Since then I've tried calling about once a day since just to see if anyone would pick up, they haven't. It's been about 3 weeks of silence, has anyone else had this experience?

Lines are back to a normal 75 hours minimum. Swaps are still weird because the Germans made a terrible airline software platform but scheduling is doing their best. Dropping trips is dependent on the reserve grid and as a reserve pilot I can't speak much to how many green drop days we have. But staffing is good so I'd imagine it's somewhat possible.

There’s about 15 new f/o’s waiting for IOE currently. With a couple Seattle IOE training captains leaving the past 2 months and the bad snow last weekend they are having to shuffle IOE around with people deadheading to other bases due to the training captain shortage.
I was in the new hire “welcome” meeting last week and am still awaiting an initial IOE assignment. Looking like it will be about 2 weeks from completion of training to IOE.
