Losing Delta and New Opportunities
#2201
Yes, it has happened quite a bit recently. Typically the CA and I would start waving aggressively, staring across to hopefully see the other crew reciprocating. Instead we are met with a stare. Usually followed by us commenting obscenities and talking about how our day has been ruined.

Rick Leach and his porn stache out to be plucked out hair by hair by a tweezer...for a 1/100th of his gross mismanagement and incompetence of two airlines.
Wait until UAL tells the stache the CRJ550 is done and conversions are halted. Just wait...

That's when you get on ramp or ground freq and say something to the effect of, 'Ramp, Compass 1234, just wanted to let our other company aircraft know that they've got some kind of serious fluid leak out of the (insert airframe/powerplant part name here), just thought they should know.' Then sit back and watch the hullabaloo 😁

Yet another example of how much aviation depends on good timing. I came onboard CPZ to the MEM base at a time newly minted, beautiful, red tail birds were coming online on a monthly basis. Delta being Delta, it seemed they were all repainted blue in a matter or weeks! MEM inevitably closed soon thereafter, but the real blow to the gut was the day we were sold to TSH. I still can't get over that one, and I've been gone for over 4 years now! Here's hoping this virus runs its course soon, and that you guys all land on your feet.

True! Did an XNA turn recently.. 4 people going back to lax! Almost everything is closed at the terminal there -- crazy. I also enjoyed giving an aggressive double wave to Envoy next to us. Got the classic awkward thumbs up from the FO.. I was hoping it would be that envoy guy who posted a few pages back somewhere.. Oh well
