So interestingly enough now we've been told that no longer can we expect to be paid as CA's at completion of training. We may also have to do both F.O. and CA I.O.E. and sit as F.O.'s for a few months at F.O. pay - even though we were assured in the interview and indoc that we were all CA's and would be paid as such. CA is written all over the training records and we were issued 4-stripe epaulets. Translation=NOT HAPPY. I feel duped!
Still not in CASS. If I hear 'next Friday' one more time...
Higher-ups say flow-through language may change to allow for movement as early as next June. I have no idea why. Call my skeptical, but I guess I didn't drink enough kool-aid.
Wish I had better updates to share. Fly safe!

Compass might want to think about taking care of employees first before staring an airine. Don't know how they will provide good service treating people like that!
When will the airlines figure out that the number one customer is their employees!

We will get our Capt pay in about six months to a year after an arbitrator awards it to us. I hate to say it but this management is just like I expected. They will gladly screw us out of what is rightfully ours just to save a few pennies on the balance sheet and look good to upper level management. It's all about spreadsheet management. Moral or anything they can't see on a spreadsheet never even enters their mind. It's just the reality of the situation. Good thing we have a union is all I can say. Unions are not perfect but they sure are neccessary!!

Guys is there free internet in canada for training? Wifi or Cable if it was.
Another site told the new classes to all agree not to sign and it was a non issue. Is this still possible?
Would a 130 ish number still be looking at a may or june upgrade?
Any chance anybody has a copy of the contract?
Thanks for your help.

*hint hint*. PM me and I'll e-mail you a copy of the contract when you verify a start date.

I haven't heard anything concrete...just a lot of crew room talk if you know what I mean. It did sound like NWA would be pulling the 4 furloughs back ASAP. Not much but that will be the first 4. I am not holding my breath on the flow....Still debating if it is my Final Answer. Remember we do have a couple furloughs from other airlines as well. Some of those guys will be leaving soon to I imagine. Thats all for now.

I am not very familiar with Compass Airlines but I got to fly on them for the very first time (commercial’ed by my company) and I was pretty impressed with the service; very helpful and funny flight attendants and also friendly cockpit crew (2 captains - IOE?). What surprised me the most was the seat and how far back it reclined (I was in 3A). I might have imagined it but it felt as if it reclined much further back than what you'd normally expect; those seats were also pretty comfy. Anyways, thanks for a great service...
Btw. I also noticed that the "middle row" didn't have the air vents and the light switches right above the seat but rather above the neighbor’s to the right seat (upfront there is one row on the left side of the aircraft and 2 rows on the right side of the aircraft, coach has 2 & 2).
It looked like the passenger in the right seat kept getting his neighbors arms shoved in front of his/her face each time the light switch came on/off or the air vent needed to be adjusted. No big deal, just something I noticed...
Overall very pleasant experience. Thanks.
