We just had our first day in a long time (about a month) where a reserve actually did not get used....ABsolutely amazing!!! Best guess we are understaffed by 40 pilots. They have been telling us we would be adequately staffed for the number of airplanes online about 6-7 months ago. Yet all of us are still waiting.

J.K. ought to be fired for many reasons, the least of which is that he's a grade A db. But even if his one and only shortcoming was stopping hiring at 320 pilots, that one giant f-up alone deserves a canning.

Sorry if this has been asked here before but I just don't have the time to read through 12 pages. Do they require you to resign seniority if you have any with another airline?

That thread is kind of mixed. Do they require you to give up the SN? That training contract doesn't help though, if you're recalled.

I am currently at compass and they never asked me, or any of my other furloughed buddies to resign our numbers!!! We also did not sign the training contract. That has been hit or miss with each class. Some classes have said they were made to sign it, others said they totally forgot.

I already had the 170/190 type so I told them I would not be signing the training contract since they did not have to type me. And they were cool with that. Hope that answers your question.

Same with my class re: resigning a seniority number...they told the furloughed guys in our class (which I think was all of us) during the interview that we would have to give up our seniority number at our previous carrier, but none of us ever heard about it again.

Default New base in PHX?

I am not trying to start any rumors but I ran across something that made me curious. I did a search on www.monster.com looking for jobs in the aviaiton field. When I ran the search in Phx, it has Compass "seeking pilots at it's PHX location" but when I search it in other cities, they are not there. Is there plans for a base in PHX? I find this odd.

They are just recruiting in PHX. I'm guessing it's because we do so many PHX overnights. We have a lot of crew who commute to PHX.
