I'm merely pointing out that amendment isn't even required. The possibility is already in the LOA. It just requires Delta and Compass to talk on the phone and agree. ALPA's participation isn't required. Although I suspect ALPA's encouragement would be welcomed by CPZ pilots!

So the last classes of this hiring push are going to be late December? How are the trips once you're a line holder? Commutable, productive? Do you guys bid hard lines or is it PBS?

Thanks

From a friend it sounds like classes are scheduled until spring of 2014. Sounds like plenty of opportunity to me.

How would this benefit Delta? How would CPZ replenish its ranks...street captains? I don't see this happening as there are plenty of applicants out there, just something interesting to debate.

The only benefit to Delta is they can do away with the flow agreement faster and get back to hiring their people.

As CPZ175 points out, it would reduce the new hire channels that Delta has to manage sooner rather than later.

Not to rain on your parade, but if working for Compass is one of your "dream jobs", you may want to re-evaluate your career ambitions.

Good luck!

Well, I'm glad you think that low of the place.

There is not enough room at the majors for the regionals to be a career move anymore. In fact, regionals aren't entry level anymore. Why don't you be thankful things have worked out for you? The competition is brutal right now for people who aren't prior 121.

What is entry-level then?

I am fairly sure that one could have a "dream regional" that they would prefer to work at over other regionals. Doesn't mean that's where they want to be forever. Lighten up guys.

Are there many commuters from the west? Colorado or California specifically?

Classes are planned through the spring. There will be a little bit of stagnation until the flows pick up again next fall. It wouldn't be a bad move at all.

I also know of a few commuters and with the all the through flights from MCI and SLC it wouldn't be too tough to commute on your own equipment.

If it stays at 20/month it's perfectly doable. It's probably the max capacity for CP, but having 75% of your list on 1st year pay would be a damn good way to insane profits.
