Does anyone know if Compass is running an April FO class? How many? Is there a pool or are they still running interviews?

When they called me for the interview I had the choice of March 10th or the week after. With a 30 day home training course after that the real training would start in April.

To answer your hiring question, I spoke with the MSP chief pilot last week. He informed me that they are hiring about 25-30 pilots. Looking for people with ATP mins, multi time is reduced to 500 not the 1000 as previously required.
Also, spoke with a person from the training department, and was informed that Compass will hire 40-45 over the next 12 months and about 40 upgrades.

What are they hiring for?

Attrition, I assume. Unless oil prices really go through the roof (a possibility given recent events in the middle east) it is expected that Delta will run a few classes towards the end of the year, with 20 Compass ppl taken per month. In addition, we've been losing a few people every month to other airlines & jobs outside the airlines.

There are some rumors going around of new aircraft, in particular 6-10 EMB170s currently owned by Virgin Blue in Australia. I very much doubt they're coming here.

Just talked to MSP CP and he told me that they are planning for five classes, but might as many as eight.
