So what in your opinion is the hiring status? Have you actually talked to anyone in recruiting? They are pilots too and can answer many questions. I have asked many times when recommending friends. And why do you not allow PMs?

Just the typical regional airline hiring mentality. Run as thin as possible and play catch up later on. I know the previous head of recruiting and talked to him recently about it.

Not a trampling of the cba. Specifically addressed in the cba and now all open time for FO's in November will be for premium pay

I don't even know how people have the time to pick up open time. Another thing that is actually a negative....the LOA states that if they raise the floor for any position, that all pilots in that seat (no matter the base) get to pick up open time at premium pay. The company is now using that against us too, b.c. instead of raising the floor on just one of the FO bases, they raised it for FOs in all 3 bases, because they realize it is the same penalty to raise the floor in all the bases, vs just a single base.

There were something like 4 planes down for maintenance out west a couple days ago. Definitely not crew related and that stuff happens all the time, we've covered for Skywest too.

It wasn't just a simple cover compass flight though. They flew an empty 900 from Slc to lax to cover the pdx turn and then flew it empty back to Slc. That's not cheap to have two crews and an empty airplane fly to and from Slc. Just sounds a little odd to have delta willing to shell out so much money just to cover a round trip.

That stuff happens all the time dude. Relax. Delta will put out something to each airline and ask if they can cover a flight, if Skywest or whoever decides to do it then they do it.

You're a moron. All the time as in cover Endeavor, Gojet, XJT, even your precious SKYWEST. Anyone of the DCIs could need a flight covered and it happens much more frequently than you think.

No. It doesn't. Not between airlines.

Yes it does. I have done plenty of them when I was on reserve.

Sorry. I forgot. You know everything.
