Endeavor has the same standby classification on Delta as DL employees.

Envoy, Psa, and Piedmont have same travel benefits on AA as AA employees.
Delta employees normally travel S3 or have a limited amount of S2 passes they can use per year. Endeavor travel S3B1 so they are not equal to Delta mainline employees. However they have higher priority than the other DCIs
Quote: It is probably closer to 6 months for those starting right now and possibly DOH for those hired in 6 months. As we go down the list, a bunch will have to bypass causing those hired right now to hold CA late summer/fall and basically street captains to occur for a short period. After pilots catch up with their time, they will be about 35%-45% when upgrading and things should settle out.

After the street captain phase, you are looking at at least 2-3 years to upgrade unless we get a higher than normal attrition.

If you have the time, now is the time to start, otherwise you will miss this opportunity when it hits in the next 3-6 months.
Thank you. That is a workable scenario for me. I also realize it is somewhat crystal ball like and there is no guarantee. If this is generally correct it is worth going forward with. I am not wanting to jump over someone's seniority but if there is a lot of bypassing now sooner than later the others will get their time and probably should not resent a junior person upgrading first as it will be relatively quick for them too. I just can't afford to be bumped to FO when the others upgrade. I am older, was devastated during the great "recession" (21st century depression) have no debt, no car, no kids, eat meat but once a week, and I just can't make FO pay work for very long. The commute is doable, but can't move because of the house (where I want to live too). Very long on FO pay and the house goes - and I can't have that.

By the way, does Compass generally make commutable trips?
I am pretty sure we aren't anywhere near needing street Captains. My class was 12/5/13 and we are going through upgrade now. Only two of our guys didn't haventhe time and they both will have it by June.

all i would think it would do would potentially bump you down to a reserve CA.

all my trips in Feb were commutable on both ends.

Trust me, we will be falling far down the list if not all the way by this summer.

I've been hearing this - and that they don't mind it either. They want to show a quick upgrade is actually happening. Read the tea leaves... They've increased upgrades for the last vacancy 2 days before it closes & they've posted a memo re: you must HAVE upgrade mins, not PROJECT or expect to have the time by your class.

Depends on the base. From what I can see the report times and release times are much more reasonable in MSP compared to LAX. I am a commuter and like 4 and 5 day trips so there are only about 6-10 trips a month (out of 170 or so) to choose from that allow me to commute on both sides. Most LAX trips start early and end early to allow commuting on the back end, or they start late and end late making it commutable only if you have a red eye home.

When you say early start, what time roughly ?

I ask as I will be commuting from OAK/SFO and wondering if I can make it same day or if I need to arrive night before.

Thanks!
Is SEA looking to be senior base?

I see a lot of 5:30-7am start times. I don't want to give a % because I don't have a clue but I think there are more early report times than afternoon report times. There are very few trips that have 10am-1pm and end before 6pm. If you want a trip that starts in the afternoon it is very likely it will end at 9pm or later. I specifically look for things that start after 9am and end before 6:30pm. Other people might have more insight if they look for other start/release times.
