Waiting will just make the decision of making the jump worse. If you have the upgrade time, you are on the tail end of the benefit. Waiting longer won't improve that benefit.

I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death but thought I'd ask anyways...I have an interview this week with Compass and wondering what it looks like for a guy with enough of 121 to upgrade? Any guess at how long it may take? How long to hold MSP as a FO or CA? What is pay during training like?
Thanks for any insight you can offer. Tough decisions to make. Have 2 little ones at home I still need to cloth and feed.
Thanks again for any insight....

I wish you luck in getting your question answered. I asked a few posts ago. No answer. I think people are: 1) tired of the question; or, 2) it's hard to determine. I'm in same boat as you. Trying to make the best career decision for my family but super hard decision.
Only 76 more pilots with guaranteed flow to DAL. That's only 4 more months.
If anyone see's a functional crystal ball, please let me know.

I would think you could hold MSP within a few months. You will sit reserve longer than you would at LAX, but if you live there, then its not a big deal. As CA, I wouldn't expect to hold MSP for a long time if you don't get on the line for 3-4 months.
You get around 700 bucks during your two week home study (guys correct me if I am wrong). Once you get to class you are making your 75 hour guarantee.
Hopefully that helps a little bit

MSP as FO, a couple months. As a CA, well currently takes 3 years to hold it at the bottom.

Will Compass be asked to do some BOS flying in the near future?

Hey guys, I have a June 18th orientation in MSP. Was wondering if anyone interested in sharing a room for the night. If interested please PM me. Thanks

Even though the guaranteed flows will be gone soon there will still be attrition. Hardly anyone I know wants to stay at Compass long-term (except the few at the top about to retire). With all of the Majors hiring Compass will still lose a bunch of guys (that's a relative term) to the majors. Every single regional airline out there is hiring like crazy because majors are sucking up the captains and some FOs. Compass will be no different. Upgrades and hiring will continue at high rates I think. The rate at which guys will leave may slow down a little but hiring will continue.
