So being that I'm inpatient and can't wait until next week to get all the home study stuff, did any of you guys struggle to grasp any of the info?

It's not that bad. Just get through it. Pay attention to the systems portion and invest some time in PIC and SIC flows. You will be spoon fed the non systems/flows information. Just get through the home study stuff early. I suggest doing the systems last and expect it to take 3 or 4 days to learn (then refresh yourself over the first few weeks before your systems validation). You'll be fine.

What did you guys wear for day one orientation?

Polo Khakis, don't be the guy with the tie.

I'd wear a baby blue tux with ruffles.

Looking for some honest info, no trolls please.

Have calls from Envoy, Compass, Express Jet, Silver, GoJet to interview. Also one with Mountain Air Cargo. I'm on the east coast, so Sky west was not really an option for me.

I need to get some recency of 121 so I can be more competitive with majors. Been inactive from flying, other than some 91 stuff, for the better part of 2 years.

I would like your thoughts on which regional to go with or should I look seriously at MAC. Thanks in advance.

3800 TT, 3700 PIC turbine, F-16 IP/SEFE, King Air 350, Cirrus SR-22, L-39

Compass is pretty west coast heavy right now. MSP is senior and that's a bit of a commute from the east side. I know guys that did the transcon commute and said it wasn't that bad, got first class a lot etc... i don't know. The commute is the worst part of the job in my opinion.

There are rumors at Compass of some east coast flying (LGA) but that's just rumor for now. Compass is a good bet for a regional but Endeavor might be your best bet on the east coast.

Keep working your mil contacts and good luck.

Apply to AA FDX SWA. They'll call you tomorrow for an interview.

Given your experience you won't be staying very long wherever you end up. Go wherever you can be based at home and get off reserve quick. I doubt you'll need to worry about upgrade times. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Flica shows me as an LAX FO on a few things, such as open time pot. I finished CA OE last week and have a CA Oct schedule. Anyone in particular I can talk to so it shows me as CA?
