As long as people understand that the upgrades only come as quickly as captains leave now. With the flow done, there is no more extra attrition due to it.

As for running the floor up to 90 hours, it's because they can. It is always cheaper to offer 150% pay than staff another pilot with all of the extra costs associated with it. You need hard %'s in the contract to prevent that kind of thing. Otherwise it's all an interpretation.

You guys hearing anything about Lufthansa? Last I heard it was supposed to be Blowjet in December, CZ in Jan 16 and TSA in Feb....but that was before the great meltdown....

Compass postponed it due to GoJet's fiasco. There's no official date now. It won't be Feb 1st for sure.

LOL interesting. Don't know what is worse, Sabre constantly crashing or the Lufthansa nightmare. Maybe they should get some servers built in this century....

I've looked and can't find it. Does anybody know where in the contract it discusses what the rules are for seat fills? Just got assigned a STL seat fill trip and I'm curious as to what is expected of me. SV? MV? Am I required to perform as if this was my own training event? Is this a jeopardy event for me?

709 rides are a jeopardy event.

Just fly standard. You're there to help the other guy. You aren't being evaluated. Depending on the event you have, you literally could just be filling the seat and talking a bit. The instructor/examiner will tell you what's expected of you.

You're just filling in so don't stress. With that said, if you are the cause for the failure of the guy getting evaluated then they could bring you in for more training and that's it. You're not the one in the hot seat but if you flat out break limitations and FARs and crash the sim then you could be brought in to re-train. It's not jeopardy if you're seat support. In the SV you're not going to be asked any questions if you're filling in for a 12 month CQMV. During the MV you will have to perform like you would on line. Use CRM and help out the guy you're sitting next to.
