Compass Recruiting

I've been in a seriously frustrating game of tag with recruiting for about 2 months now. I've been getting e-mails telling me to call to set up an interview. But, every time I do, I just get a recording telling me to leave my name and number. I got called back three or four times and they left their name and advised to call them back again on 6923. No joy, just more recordings. Anybody have a GOOD number?

Just finished a week of interviews with SkyWest, Trans States, GoJet, and Endeavor with offers from all. I'd really like to check out Compass before making a choice but the clock's ticking. At this point I really like Endeavor and SkyWest ... any ideas there also?

Their last proposed size was 45 FO's, it's shrunk down to 42 right now I think, so won't there be a couple spots on the January bid? I think they have 48 CA at present. I still think a new hire today that wants SEA would get it within a few months if not straight out of training. You'll certainly hold a line faster in LA though.

Well, I didn't get it for Dec, nor did I expect too. We'll see what happens after training. I would rather sit reserve in SEA than hold a line in LA. I live 15 min from SEA! :)

Not sure if what I have been told holds any merit. However,I know of several candidates who interviewed at compass In the last two weeks who did not receive an offer; which sort of surprised me. Then to find out, compass apparently sent home several of their ground instructors through the holidays. Take that with a grain of salt, but that is some info that has fell through the cracks on my end.

The training dept is hiring half a dozen more instructors as we speak. No one is being sent home for the holidays.

Yeah but most vacancies were in LA, and a few more senior FOs from LA decided to come up so the spots went to them. I still think you'll get it decently fast. There's enough bids and movement right now it shouldn't be too tough to get, even seen a few NH get MSP before being done with training like 2 months ago.

That's not true. Lots of the instructors are flows and are leaving as we speak, with the last of them to be leaving late 2015, but no one is being sent home for overstaffing. In fact most of my class's training events don't have an instructor assigned until one picks it up from open time. There are lots of new faces in the training dept.

Maybe that means we're maintaining some sort of standards.

I'm astonished someone went from SEA to LA.
