Has anyone had success with the AAL benefits? I was able to add my friend finally. Now I'm able to list myself for a flight, but not my buddy? Flights that I can list for (economy, standby, and on American metal) I can't list my buddy on - the radio buttons aren't available. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm guessing this is correct. I've been waiting for over a week now for upgrade OE and they are scrambling to push FOs through.

Not complaining, just guessing they need FOs more than CAs

If we are staffed sufficiently this should be the case. Reserves shouldn't be getting flown to death every month.

In LAX I think there was 135 CA that can bid and only 119 FOs. They wanted to give me an overnight last week but didn't have a single FO on res to cover it.

We were short CAs for a while and preference in the training department was going to upgrades so CAs could hit the line ASAP. They over compensated a little- now they have more CAs than FOs. There were a few critical pay trips on the FO side this month.
As for LAX CAs, typically they werent building reserve lines. With 8 upgrades per week, the month would start with 3 weeks of new captains (24) and build up line reserves from incomplete lines. As the month progresses, more CAs finish training and we eventually have too many CAs... Until more flows leave and another couple AE plans come on line. It's like this during big growth for us, a little short in the beginning of the month and a little fat at the end of the month.

Are all FO's going to LAX now? What is it looking like for a new hire to get MSP or SEA in the next few months?

Guys that have been there. I report back to training soon, what would you say are the things I need to be good with coming back with? ( I'm good with flows, limitations, and memory items)

For those of you that have recently started at Compass, did you guys purchase a one way ticket to the orientation day and then have jumpseat privileges right away for the flight back home?
