Also, I would figure an airliner would have longer than a 7 or 8 year loan term.

All of the 170's have been here for 9+ years. Their registration has the holding company on them. Our new aircraft have the bank of Brazil on the registration.

This conversation is starting to head into the weeds a bit. I'm going to enjoy the Saturday and celebrate Michigan State getting into the college football playoffs!! Have fun everyone.

As much as you'd love that to be true, it's not accurate.

Also, this isn't a pi**ing match, it's an actual discussion. Pretty tough to come by on apc these days. So kindly ****** off.

I understand you are in denial since you are stuck at RAH for life, but I am tired of your endless rebuttal. 404 took the time to show you that Delta can snatch those planes from Republic with your ass still strapped to the right seat if you don't get out fast enough. It is business and done all the time. Get used to being played.

You know how many tail numbers they are trying to add??

Paid off planes still cost a lot to insure, park, and maintain. If they are not flying, or not flying enough, they are still costing a substantial amount of money.

You guys get cancellation pay?

And that is another reason why Republic "owning" their planes is meaningless. Even if Republic owned all of their airplanes outright (which the don't) Republic management won't sit on those airplanes unless they are getting compensated from their mainline partners. They don't sell their own tickets and if their mainline partner stops paying them, Republic management will relinquish them anyway. It is poor business practice to sit on something that is only costing you money when you can eliminate that cost by giving them away.

They won't go to United unless United pays them extra money that they already are, but that would involve Republic flying more for United. United won't pay them extra just to have spares in their system because Delta cancelled their CPA.
