Okay, I'm lighting this one back up with a caveat:
Which is a better choice for someone with little-to-no Part 121 time and would be starting class at one of them within the next few months??? This could also be a general question: Since most talks are about fast upgrades for the qualified folks right now, where should the zero Part 121 guy be looking right now? Thanks for all the great feedback so far! |

All I can say is that things have gotten a lot better at Endeavor in the last year. One thing I have learned is that you can't plan your career. Trying to predict which regional will most quickly help you on to a major is pointless. You might as well go to a regional with the easiest commute or best living situation or money as those things will be accurate projections for at lease a few months. A Mesaba furlough junior to me went to Compass, upgraded, got on with a major while I am still at Pinicolaba as an FO. You and I should go to Compass once we get that time machine. Nevertheless I am having a good time at Endeavor and I'm living in base and making 65k with the retention bribe. Hope you have good luck and quick movement!

For a new hire i would go with a company that is turning around and has the backing of a great mainline partner/owner. Plus money you will make 40k plus here your first year.
Compass without a doubt. Too much bad history at Endeavor. What is past is prologue. You will get the bonus back and more with the faster upgrade. |
Comair=apples
Endeavor=oranges |

A regional that actually has some growth scheduled. Everything else is just rumor. Between these two carriers Compass looks better.
