Just to be clear a lot of people have been bypassed.

Separelty it's pretty clear that Facebiter resents anyone (millennials mostly) that has seen rapid advancement in this industry. Don't let it get to you. A lot of guys feel this way they just don't say it.

How is it to commute out of major hubs like DFW when you work for Compass? (LAX is probably the most likely base as a junior pilot?)

We almost always have a jumpseater DFW to MSP.

Would MSP be the best base for a commuter from DFW?

4 direct flights a day on company metal from DFW to LAX. 3 jumpseats on the plane and you can reserve the jumpseat in advance. Almost always had first class open when I've commuted on this flights. About as easy as it gets, if a long flight.

LAX would probably be the best. We do a bunch of those flights plus on AA the majority of flights are on A321's with two jumpseats.

Plus you're probably gonna have a not fun time in MSP as a new hire. It is getting more junior to where NH have gotten MSP out of training or close (which is crazy at this airline..) but the reserve time is gonna be longer there than LAX. I was just looking at the seniority list, I mean sure there's people that have bypassed the upgrade but the notion that there's "a lot".... I don't know, a lot of those people bypassed by choice(ie waiting to hold MSP CA, not because they lacked the 121 SIC. I don't feel like there's /that/ many that were bypassed due to lack of 121 SIC, certainly that is a factor but a lot of those guys that were just waiting to hit it are taking the upgrade now and I've heard we're about to do another big CA upgrade class.). That is a factor but I really wouldn't worry about it too much coming here. If the bases work, this is still a great place to be. Is it as good as it was a year ago? No, but things are still moving. People on the boards were saying the wave was over in July/Aug and yet someone hired then is sitting fairly pretty right now...

WHat's the reserve time now in LAX?

Sorry if I ask questions that have already been asked.
