I'm not ready to apply anywhere yet....just gathering info. What are typical schedules like? 3 day, 4 day, etc. Does Compass use PBS or hard lines? How is the MSP-LAX commute?
If you're someone that doesn't like answering questions then....don't, but please keep your comments to yourself.

Actually I do have 4.5 years, but I've been out of the game for awhile and thinking about getting back in. QOL is more important to me than pay. I'm so sorry I haven't kept up with everything at every regional. How am I supposed to know what schedules are like at Compass? How am I supposed to know what the commute is like? I've never used PBS, my previous employer was hard lines. It's people like you that make me think twice. If you want my resume I flew from 2000-2003 and 2004-mid 2005...happy?

We have 1-5 day trips with some CDO trips at all 3 of the bases. PBS is used as of now which I think that will continue even after we switch to all this Lufthansa stuff. I don't think the MSP-LAX commute is easy at all, but that's just what I gather from flying with guys who do it. Most flight are always oversold including the red eye, lots of time spent in the jumpseat.

Compass is a good bet, and I'm sure that you could get MSP out of training. However LAX is the junior CA base, so be prepared to commute to LAX if you want to take the first upgrade.
It's been said before, but it is recommended to read the last 50 or so pages in the Compass Updates thread. There is a lot of information about the interview process and hotel info etc that you will probably be asking next. If you have any questions that have not been covered feel free to PM.

Don't worry about the guys here, they are just tired of the same questions littering the front page.

The MSP-LAX commute is cake, no commuters and tons of flights. You'll be able to commute the day of your trip and get home the same day your trip ends 95% of the time. I've heard that you can expect 16 days off after doing one month of reserve. Doesn't Compass have flows left too? What like 100 or something? That will cause quick movement - I wouldn't wait, you'll probably upgrade in 4 months if you get on now. Plus all tha AA flying they need to ramp up for - your timing couldn't be better.

That ship has left port many months ago. And won't be returning to port for who knows when. You won't be able to board.
