I would imagine your union will have a piece out today on the matter. Seems out of line by the CP's. No faith in their pilots.

What's the process to list for the Jumpseat on our American flights? When a pilot calls and gets put on release, do they have priority, or is it still seniority based. Thanks.

if they are on the release they have priority...if not, it's seniority based.

Anyone fly with the David Clark Pro X headset? I currently have the Bose X and trying to decide between the David Clark and the A20's. Wondering which works better in the plane.

Thanks in advance.

I have had mine about six months in the 175. Love them.
Much less clamp and a lot more durable than the Bose.

I find that email somewhat insulting to be honest. And completely unfair to the pilots who actually do get sick, have family/life emergencies, etc. If you are sick this weekend please do not hesitate to call in!! I've seen a lot of pilots and FAs showing up to work lately with colds and getting other people sick. You don't need to see a Dr for a friggin cold. Stay home and don't get others sick.
Agree with you 100%. Sadly, FAs don't have the protections pilots do wrt sick leave. It's easier to fire them, so many of them fly in fear of that as long as they can walk and talk.

I got my DC's for Christmas and love them. Light and clear audio, fold up small in the flight kit, and the battery life is great. The Bluetooth is nice for keeping your hands free while you write in the logbook too.

As tunes said, whoever is on the release has priority regardless of seniority. It seems there are more than a handful who don't know this and try to 'pull rank' on those who are on the release but are junior to them.

Thanks for the info. If this is the case, what is the preferred method for getting listed on the release?
