As far as I know from FOM 16, it only says you CAN ONLY wear your uniform while on duty and it must be a complete uniform.
The DH to training example is exactly right. Also, if you are DH home on day 6 or something and you know you wont be assigned further flying etc, or you just dont care. If you are DH to operate then maybe be in uniform, unless you got like a 2 hr sit or whatever your comfortable with.
Also no requirement to be in uniform on ready reserve, just sayin. If you can suit up and be at your gate in a pressed uniform in the allowable time, then no one cares.
** we had this conversation many pages ago where the conversation deteriorated into someone suggesting we dont wear clothes on DHs. Can't remember who said that 😁

Dress however you want on DHs. The only department that requires DHing in uniform is inflight...well because their leader is Regina George.

Speaking of ending on a DH and specifically as a line holder FO, what are people's thoughts on cancelling at the front counter and bypassing scheduling? I don't want the "well we might JA you so you have to take it" BS. I know there was a read file about not doing that because "the agent might not cancel it the right way", but I think think it was so people wouldn't do what I want to do and bypass scheduling. I have done this once and never heard a peep from them. Thoughts?
