The Extended Stay definitely needs to be brought up to the union again. When I went through new hire training there, I found blood on both mattresses, a dirty diaper under the bed, food under the bed, a massive bottle of lotion, empty bottles and food wrappers. They came in and picked up the stuff and took off the mattress pads. That's it. I was disgusted. I'll email them again.

Its boutique style and shows 3.5 stars on Trip Advisor. I've never stayed there myself but Skywest uses it for their LAX TDY's and when I picked a buddy up from there once it looked decent. Had a nice pool area and all the rooms have a different look and I would say the area is better than being down on Century Blvd IMO. But Maybe someone whos stayed there can chime in?

I stayed there 3 times so far, and I hated it every time. The hotel staff is rude and snobbish even though it's just a dirty airport hotel. They have one van that leaves for LAX every 45 minutes. It takes on average an hour to get to the hotel from the airport. I saw people smoking weed in the lobby while I was waiting there for over an hour because they didn't want to give me a key unless I gave them a personal credit card for incidentals. They insisted it's a normal procedure for crews. Even talking to crew scheduilng didn't help. At the end they just gave it to me out of nowhere. The worst hotel I've ever stayed at, and if it wasn't a commuter hotel, I would have refused it.

There are multiple new hire classes currently staying at the Towne Place Suites. I can attest it's awesome and a great hotel! ...Not sure where your friend got their information but maybe the Towne Place filled up so they had to have some stay at the Extended Stay?

The custom hotel in LAX does indeed suck quite greatly. Woe to he who is placed there.

Currently at TownePlace. It's a great hotel. Staff is awesome and vans are 24/7 with fairly reliable service. I have heard the rumor that new classes will be heading to the Extended Stay. As for when and why, couldn't tell you. A few days ago, a guest in the elevator said "just lucked out. Last room." So maybe that's it?

Sorry, I should have been more clear. Every class from now on, starting with the one that started yesterday is at the Extended Suck America. All of those at the Towne Place just got extended in their current rooms, even though the contract is up. And apparently the Extended Stay has already had some issues with room cleanliness and stuff. The general consensus among my new hire friend's class is that they don't want to be a bother and want to keep their heads down since they are on probation, new to this, etc. Pretty sad.
