Every single time I read our Delta performance numbers on comply, I realize just how much we're turning into a TransStates company. DELTA on our DL175s stands for Deffer Everything Longest Time Available.

It's really embarrassing. Not sure what the problem is. TransStates Holdings is obviously at the root but what else is going on?

What I don't understand is how it's pretty much night and day between the AA operation and the DL Op.

Main issue is DL gates vs AA gates. I'm sure Delta knows this.

Speaking of DTW, its no longer a Compass Mx base. It got consumed by gojets. So thats one more base where everything will get deffered since its now technically contract Mx.

I think the delta performace numbers have a lot to do with the aging aircraft, but more than anything would be the LAX circus causing uncontrollable delays. If we didnt fly into LAX as a often, our Delta D0 and A14 would be about where AA side of things are. Due to the eagles nest not having the congestion issues the main terminal has it has better performance. Once the northside terminals open up it should get alot better.

Id love to see the LAX only, Delta D0/A14 and cpz delta D0/A14 side by side. I bet it would be comparable within a few percent. Even with the fact mainline will always get open gate priority over us no matter where we are.

One of the issues is the agents, Delta isn't hardcore about the door being closed 10mins prior. I would bet if Delta was serious about door close at 10 prior that would change things. Many Delta agents tell us that they can't close the cabin door until 4-5 mins and if they close it any sooner they get in trouble. The agents automatically put all delays on us and the company doesn't do a very good job following up and seeing if it really was our fault. The Delta planes aren't new either and our MX does not do a good job at keeping parts on hand to fix things. They wait until it's broken to order something. The MX side is extremely short staffed, especially in LAX. They have a new supervisor that it creating quite the stir and won't let anyone work overtime even though the shift is short on mechanics. Not to mention he and the DOM are buddies so he gets away with his actions.

I thought the compass upgrade times were 1.5-2 years even if you had the time, did it drop down again?

Expect 1.5 to 2 years and hope for better. It has held at about a year but it's anyone's guess how long that will last.
