Praying for speedy recovery for everyone afflicted with the superbug that's hit in the last couple of days.

Yeah but AA is paying legacy first year pay. And they would not need to keep seniority, just an agreement to give them longevity for their loyalty.

On a side note. There a few reserve captains in check airman training now. When they come back will they be like reserve guys or more like line holders? Just curious how they will work them in.
More like line holders.

If they increase to 18 per month thats a Feb '18 upgrade (2 years 2 months) and I think those are fairly conservative numbers. In reality they should probably be doing 20+ upgrades a month to keep from falling further behind, 20+ CA critical trips in the last 4 days!
You guys are gonna start splitting hairs about 2 y. 5 m. vs. 2 y. 7 m.? I said my numbers are UNLESS SOMETHING CHANGES, i.e. worst case, and that I really hope the company picks up upgrades.

That being said, I don't believe in sweeping our problems under the rug so that we can get more new hires. I definitely wouldn't want that done to me, would you all? (Not you personally JD, but those who've advocated for this). I presented the baseline case and the variables that went into it. Like any other person here I hope that the company sees the light, especially after the hiring freeze fiasco, and makes this place more attractive to new hires.

BTW, 3 personal friends of mine have recently interviewed here. All 3 had another offer from Company S. After speaking with me (and others), 2 decided to come here, and one is still thinking while he's finishing building time. I think most of not all of us here want this company to succeed enough for all of us to move on with great memories of our time at Compass. If you believe it, go out and recruit!

Im not trying to argue or split hairs. Im also not trying to sweep anything under any rug! I'm just trying to give people the most accurate information available at this time. 2year 5months vs. 2years 7months might not be that big of a deal. However, 2years 2months vs. 2years 7months, now we're talking about almost half a year and with most regionals holding somewhere between a 20-36 upgrade 5 months could be a big factor to some people out there trying to make a decision.

I would love to be able to recommend Compass to everyone out there but in reality I may or may not, it really depends on their personal situation.

Yeah go make that Mayweather money!!!!!!!!!!

The 2 year 7 mo upgrade is incorrect. Only reason is the temporary 6 month stagnation. Also, our upgrades would be going way way junior today if it wasn't for the MSP displacements. 2 years from now what happened during those 6 months will not matter since we're about to lose the top 30% of LA pilots by the end of the year. Upgrades will come down to 12-15 months again and will only be limited by the fact that FOs will have the seniority but not the 1000 hours. Cycle will repeat itself.
