There's enough captain critical pay out to fund a Mars mission right now



I'd like to think this sends a loud and clear message that they need to upgrade more. Seems they pulled staff out of MSP too quickly. No captain and no FA airport ready reserve. No captains on RAP either

When there were 40 planes adding 20, vs now with 56 it would have to be 28 to be on the same magnitude.

But it's TSH, they prefer the reactive to being proactive. So like Fpmx772 said, this was expected.

And that's not even counting the couple of dozen bypassing FOs senior to the most junior CA awarded. So unless something changes, summer 2016 hires are likely looking at 3+ years.

As many others have said, I really hope the company picks up upgrades. That being said, I'm afraid they won't until we actually start cancelling flights.

I think we will see two CAs filling the cockpit before we start CXing flights

We won't see that since we can't even find 1, much less 2!

I wasn't referring to the growth, just getting multiple critical pay emails each day. Of course, the simple way to solve that would be to upgrade more captains, which would lower upgrade times and boost morale. But what do I know?
