I am assuming he was under his probationary year and the company got upset that they spent all this money on his type rating for him to leave to SkyWest and therefore decided to screw him and his record? I believe firing goes on your aviation record as opposed to resigning, right?

Are you currently at SkyWest? Just looking at your post history saw you left GoJet for SkyWest. If anything what they mean is you left GoJet for SkyWest, therefore you are ineligible for hire at Compass.
They did fire a guy here who put in two weeks notice to go to SkyWest, then the Union had the firing overturned. I think there is bad blood between Compass and SkyWest.
I'd avoid another latteral move to a regional (one latteral move is ok, multiple looks bad), you should try Spirit and Allegiant if you are living in Vegas. Or do an ACMI that will buy you tickets to and from home to your domicile. Kalitta does not charge imputed income, Atlas does, but either way they buy you a ticket...no space available/jumpseating to worry about.

As always there are three sides to every story...

The only time this should happen is if there are only first class seats available. In that case AA non revs have higher priority since they are able to actually list for first. If its for an economy seat then Compass non revs including anyone on your flight benefits should be first priority.
Nothing beats getting left behind on our own metal because there are only first class seats available and AA buddy pass riders (eligible for first class) get on instead. Oh well,we ended up getting on Southwest a few hours later.
