A memo explaining this better needs to be published. Sounds like some of us are needing this time for more than a simple leisure vacation.

From the Ascension Guide PDF on the website
"Ascension will award by Request No. first, and then by Choice within each Request.
So make sure that the Requests and Choices are in the order you desire. Ascension automatically assigns the Request and Choice numbers so you may have delete a
Request or two until you get comfortable"

Just schedule the procedure for whenever you want and then take FMLA. When you go though the FMLA process you will be able to specify weather or not you want to use vacation/sick time as well to cover it.

Anyone else notice when you select a week you want to bid for vacation it populates the previous week? Example, I put in week 26 and it populates week 25

Essentially me trying to figure out this bidding. Can’t we just put 1 request and blah blah choices in it? This system is trash. Compost is batting 100 recently.

For example
Request 1:
Choice 1: Week A
Choice 2: Week B
Choice 3: Week C
If I can't hold Choice 1 because of seniority, does it try to give me Week B and Week C, or does it give me Week B, which I can hold and then move on to Request 2, or does it give me B and C and then look at Request 2 to see what else I want?
I guess I'm trying to figure out if I should have all the weeks I want in Request 1, or whether, since I have three weeks to bid for next year, do I need to have three Requests with different choices within those request.

This doesn't clarify my question. Does it try to award everything within my first requst? Or does it take the first available choice when that request and then move on to the next request?
For example

Choice 1: Week A
Choice 2: Week B
Choice 3: Week C
