EVERYONE of 330 million people locking down simultaneously is statistically impossible. We couldn’t even get the small percentage of people recommending that policy to follow it themselves, far less the millions of others. It’s every bit as naive a suggestion as, “Let them eat cake...”

This sent me in research mode. Larson retired in the mid ‘90s while I was busy in college (I’m sure most familiar with The Far Side already knew this) and I didn’t notice and eventually I forgot about him. BUT, he has a website (I don’t think it’s the website this young man was visiting though as I got the impression he was looking at some third party site). Larson posts a few of his oldies every day there and occasionally new content.

A perfect, global lockdown wouldn't even work because a few people somewhere would have lingering cases due to compromised immune systems or just bad genes, and apparently it only takes on person to start it all over again.There is one and only totally successful lockdown...
