I believe that people should be allowed to choose to be vaccinated or not, but that a choice to not vaccinate may be met with inability to do certain things. Some may call that discrimination, but I’m sure others think using that term that is falsely equivalent as well.

BTW, I plan on getting an approved vaccine when it becomes available to me, and my spouse and kids will get it when available to them....just like we do with every vaccine.

I thought you were comparing 'markings' for people who had declined vaccines to Nazi Jewish Badges; what a hilarious misunderstanding. I completely agree with you then.

If you get a vaccine then you don't need to worry whether or not I got the vaccine. You're the one protected already.
And you rely on others for your safety. And you're apparently okay with that.

No, it's not freeloading. I get the benefits I pay for through voluntary transactions. Taxation is theft.

If I choose to get a vaccine then I have no reason to care if other people get the vaccine or not.

Or you could realize that you should do your part as well, to keep others safe. Not part of the libertarian utopia, I guess.

Vaccines reduce your chances of infection but being around someone with the virus is still a risk. It just gives society, as a whole, an advantage in causing the virus to 'burn out.' To use the brush fire analogy, think of unvaccinated people as dried tinder and vaccinated people as soaked logs. If the whole forest is water logged, a fire won't get started, but if there's enough dry tinder, even the wet logs will catch on fire.

This makes no sense. If someone gets a vaccine then it doesn't matter if I get one or not.

Well except for the fact that some people can’t be vaccinated. We go around and around with this line of thinking but because of anti-vaxxers measles is starting to re-emerge in the US. Head and neck cancers are starting to rise to a point where now they are going to start vaccinating boys as well for HPV. Look at the end of the day it likely other countries are going to declare you have to have it to enter. Their country their rules. Airlines aren’t gonna let you sit at home for the rest of your career with pay because you don’t want a vaccine.

Ever heard of doing your part? Or is it just about you?

People don’t get vaccinated out of altruism, they get vaccinated out of self-interest.
