A few mistakes can be expected while tabulating 150M votes, but there're multiple checks to catch these things that are watched by both GOP and Dems. The swiss cheese model has a few layers. I want Trump to run his investigations because it's all part of our country's transparency, I just don't think he'll discover anything that accounts for hundreds of thousands of votes in a combination of states that flips the electoral college.

I want my candidate to call for a recount. I think it is impossible that we only got 1.14%.

The best chance Trump has is to get the ballots thrown out in PA that didn't arrive before the cut off on Tuesday night. Maybe shake up enough in Nevada and Georgia. It's an uphill climb and he would need a miracle. Doubtful. It would be better for the country if the courts get to weigh in and recounts etc. go cleanly for Biden. Otherwise there will always be those who say there was fu**ery.

Lets hope this all gets resolved without riots and violence.

BTW, it has nothing to do with a political view, it's a logical fallacy.

I'm absolutely against tossing out votes from Americans that were post marked by the deadline, but arrived late. Americans can't control the speed of the mail and tossing out legal votes when it's known what direction they'll swing is felony voter fraud. Also, separate issue, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with allowing mail-in voters to fix issues with their votes so they can be properly counted.

The point of an election is to allow the people freedom to choose who they want running the country, not find ways to cheat them out of their right to vote with technicalities. It's not a payday loan, it's supposed to be a God given right.

I agree about the riots/violence. I think that's why even Fox called it early on AZ. Even HW Bush gave a very calm speech to transfer power to Clinton to avoid civil unrest, and Trump has... not done that.

That's a completely separate issue from what is going on in other Michigan counties, and the state as a whole. A simple recount will restore integrity to the process.

Macomb county in Michigan alone has 28,000 questionable votes for Biden that are probably a result of the reporting software. There is certainly enough to flip Michigan.

Hypocrisy at its finest. Republicans invented endless controversies under Obama, and refused to follow the constitution when denying him the right to appoint a Supreme Court Justice.
Democrats on the other hand fought to uphold the constitution while unprecedented levels of corruption and graft took place under the Trump administration. Now you complain about the lack of grace on the part of the democrats? Take a look in the mirror, bud.

The Republicans are trying to steal the election and are systematically working to destroy this country on every level. The morally bankrupt, unprincipled republican party is now a party of loons divorced from objective reality.

Biden is a proven liar and plagiarist. He and his family is in bed with a corrupt super power and yet you want to give him the keys to our country. Russia and Trump was a dead end and yet you scream “hypocrisy!”
Trump is, objectively, the most dishonest politician in American political history. Trump is a proven liar and his wife is a proven plagiarist. Trump and his family are in bed with our enemies in order to enrich themselves. If Russia was a dead end, why did Trump associates go to jail? If he is so innocent, why did Trump associate himself with so many convicted felons? Why has Trump never said a single bad word about Putin, who is our adversary? You call Russia a hoax, but none of you Trumpers have ever been able to answer that question.

Trump didn't start any bogus wars, so he has that going for him. We'll have a Covid vaccine in a few weeks. The stock market is nearing a record during the pandemic. Not saying anything bad about Putin was clearly done to troll Democrats.

And for the record, Bush was way worse than Trump.

The state law specifically calls for the votes to be in the election office by 8pm election day. If those voters end up being disenfranchised by having their votes thrown out it will be entirely the fault of the State Supreme court making an unlawful ruling and the state leaders telling them they have more time. That will be a decision for the higher courts but the constitution is clear that election laws are exclusively set by the State Legislature and cannot be changed by judges.

A travesty I agree but blame where it is due please.

The Senate has the decision whether to advise and consent or not. If it was in Democrat hands Merrick Garland would be a justice today and Mrs. Barret would not. Nothing unconstitutional about that.

It would be great if you would be a little stronger on facts and weaker on hyperbole.

Listen, no one is perfect and without failings, but when you are up for leadership positions, be it CEO, President or senator, etc, there are certain behaviors and utterances that are disqualifying because you are held to a higher standard by the public.

Realistically, the key to getting and retaining these positions are either not engaging in those behaviors/utterances, or if you did in the past, find a way to prevent it from surfacing.

POTUS openly does and says things that go beyond the pale, and everybody knows it. His populist rhetoric however, plays to the darker angels of many white disaffected voters and has hit a chord, leaving a good number of them firmly under his trance. In contrast, I am aware of no Democrat aspiring for the presidency that is anywhere near his extreme.

As parents we teach our own kids about the importance of honesty, integrity, and that character matters, and yet under the spell of his flute, POTUS supporters have chosen to conveniently ignore these ideals.
