I guess there is a solid reason or two more Irish live outside the Emerald Isle than on it.

Which really wasn’t a famine at all (like most “famines”) but the shipment of non-potato crops to England where they were enjoyed by the British...

Ireland had plenty of food available, but only blighted potato was offered to the natives.

But I digress.

If there is one thing the Irish do well it’s rebellion, tough to get cohesion though.

No surprise, Ireland is small, densely crowded, and they have an independent streak. Also the weather can't be helping, even in the best of times.
