They have a choice...they just don't like the consequences. We'll wait and see how this plays out, but I think you're underestimating the ease of collecting LTD. I don't know if you work for UAL (your screen name leads me to believe you do), but we ALL pay for pilots on LTD so we all have a dog in the fight. |

On Oct 15th a pilot with a medical exemption is in exactly the same position relative to their Class I as they were on Sept 1st. Seems straightforward to me. How do you read this? Not wanting to get a vaccine isn't the same as not being able to. But I guess that's why we were talking about finding a doctor to rubber stamp refusal.

It’s completely relevant. The company made a policy that makes them ineligible to exercise their certificate for a medical reason. It’s the language of the UPA verbatim. I’m not aware of a pilot who was put on a unpaid leave who had a medical exemption for the yellow fever vaccine, are you? |
