While I’d be for the idea, I don’t think the “natural immunity passport” helps our particular situation as much as some might think. It does show a reduced likelihood of contraction/spread, but that’s only half of an airline’s problem. We also have the logistical issue of getting pilots into countries that require vaccination. The immunity passport is a lot more suited for domestic issues like getting into restaurants or concerts.

Outsider here. I’ve read this and a couple other threads and want to make sure my info is accurate.

Is the accommodation being made for those that medically cannot receive the Covid vaccine is an unpaid LOA?

If yes
how long would this LOA last?

I’m gonna assume no but is there anything weird like can one collect LTD during this?

if no, what is the accommodation being made?

You are correct re. unpaid leave. If a medical accommodation you can use sick leave. I haven't heard discussion about LTD but I doubt if it's a valid reason since you'd still have a valid Class I. I'd be opposed to allowing LTD since everyones rates would increase as a result.

Yeah it wouldn't help overseas, although maybe if we did it others would follow suite.

Once undue hardship can be demonstrated, the answer is no.
