I thought it just extended/removed the sunset provision, and/or increased the duty on future deliveries, the law didn't specify a retroactive duty increase. 19 CFR 351.213(j)

Bombardier did miss all the deadlines to file the financial information on the Cseries. I guess it will be in the hands of this man:

Would (could) they pay a 2-3 times the price of the plane though? I can't see how that would even be possible, much less feasible.

Yeah I know, call it a jobs program and add it to the debt or whatever. But 2-3 times the price per plane dumped onto the taxpayers of Canada? I just don't see that happening.

To absorb a 300-380% tarrif would be like when you wash a disposable diaper... or leave a baby with the dad... those diapers get so yuge.

Absorption, Depends. You'd think at my age I'd get that right away.

We have ownership influence over 8 airlines headquartered in 8 different countries with 8 different order books. I think we'll find a way.

I'm thinking it's about time for delta to buy an airplane manufacturer. They already bought their fuel supplier and regional airline. If they buy this they can export to other airlines and keep them out of the hands of UA and AA along with having their own supply of regional jets and narrow body planes for US use.
