Oh joy! Let's buy a failing aircraft manufacturer that is only alive today because of massive government cash infusions. I am sure we can turn it around right away! By the way Bombardiar current debt is over double their market cap. That means that Delta would have to be paid at least 5 billion in cash to assume the companies obligations and get the company at market value.

That and it’s illegal for an airline to own an OEM and vice versa. Read up on the Air Mail in the Thirties and how United Airlines formed.

That’s actually a good idea.

Delta directly owns 49% of Virgin. Air France-KLM owns 31% of Virgin. Delta owns 10% of Air France-KLM. Bottom line is we control more than 51% of Virgin. They/we could buy the C series through Virgin for us and have them/us lease it to us. Basically we’d lease it to ourselves. Confused?

Just remember that works in reverse too. Not too long ago a manager from one of our European partners (subsidiaries) announced an alter ego NIA competing product using Delta A330s flown by Europeans.

Then this happened.

I wonder where those A350s came from? The delivery slots were pretty firm until...

Yikes I hope this isn't true, but you make a compelling point. I think it's been asked but doesn't scope cover new subsidiary flying since they'll still be part of the AF/KLM group? Either way it still sucks to lose the 350's and there's nothing protecting that in the PWA.

Air France. So we’re going to own a part of Joon too through Air France. That is interesting. You could start an entire new thread on this topic. (Sorry to gunk up the C-series thread.) Do you have more details about the Delta 330 deal that didn’t happen? I vaguely remember something about that but I don’t have any details.

There never was any A330 deal. It was one quote from a executive in Europe that was quickly refuted.

I'm beginning to believe BBD is going to lose this case on process alone, it appears they don't intend to complete any of the required work to fight this case.
