From the press release above:

Airbus’ global industrial footprint will expand with the Final Assembly Line in Canada and additional C Series production at Airbus’ manufacturing site in Alabama, U.S.
So... I’m guessing a second CSeries final assembly line in AL is in the works to circumvent the tarriff?

Once again, the game changes. This news has great potential for us.

Not sure if this would ease the tariff, as much as it would be a great lobbying power for Airbus/BBD with US politicians.

If Trudeau really wanted to make a thug life statement, Canada will still cancel the Super Hornet

This means the c-series will survive.

Could also mean an enlarged c-series replaces the smaller 318 and 319. Don’t know why they would compete with themselves.

This is my thinking exactly. Airbus has called the c-series "complimentary". Im thinking the CS-500 gets born and ultimately becomes the replacement airframe for the A320neo.
