It says they built a $600m facility.

Im pretty sure that resulted in more than just a few local jobs...and materials.

Idk if they will be able to include this new airframe in that facility or adding on?

Sounds like they could make it outside in the morning the way it ships already made.

Popcorn is out.

It's interesting. I question the reporter who said the 320 is a 180 seater. Shoot them. Or maybe spirit does that... ouch.

I am curious the plan. I wonder if it's just the C100 they'll allow. You have to remember there are 7,700 a320 family jets that have been delivered and 5,400 more to go. Theyre not going to transfer the c series in to that.

And the technology of the 320 is what is the technology of the 330, 340, 350, 380. They're not going to change those jets.

But the C100 is a good compliment, 318 replacement, and probably dirt cheap.

I think bombardier had been caught and the tariffs were correct and imho I think that's beyond obvious now. I also think this program was on the verge of a complete collapse. And Boeing was trying to make sure happened and then... Airbus.

Popcorn.

And I think thanks to the bailout we will never buy another boeing.

I believe the A320, in a single class configuration can seat 180 pax. As for what Airbus will do with the c-series, I would think the 100 will stimulate the 100 seat market and the 300 will be a good replacement for the 319. They could further develop the airframe to a CS500 that could ultimately replace the A320neo.

F9's NEOs and newer 320s are 186 seats.

321s are 230

If it were possible, you would see A350 innovations (vertical nav on ND, tcas by autopilot, runway overweight prevention system, no more cables for rudder and trim, only one FD button, etc....) Make it into the 320neo. But it would mean that you'd have less commonality when it comes to crew/maintenance qualification, spare parts. Airlines bought thousands of NEO's because they know it takes a 30 minute PowerPoint presentation to qualify their A320 CEO crews.

With Airbus backing the Cseries, the order book should extend into the thousands.

Early word is we've told Airbus we will wait for them to set up the Mobile delivery center until taking the CS-100. So that means the Mad Dog and some -90's will be flying longer than originally planned...

Boeing will also likely file an anti-trust suit, so the second half of 2018 to complete the deal is a good estimate. That may push first deliveries into 2020.

I just read they are not going to close the Canadian assembly line with the opening of the Alabama one. That's really odd to open a second line for just Delta's orders.
